Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"She should rest. Take her to bed." Gin turns around and is about to head to the other side of the room when he stops. "Lara, do you feel that?" He turns to look at her, his face showing faint signs of worry. "There's someone else in this castle, but it's not a normal aura. It's evil, real malicious. But I can't seem to sense where it's at. . . " He mutters a few words under his breath, and before him appears a grotesque creature, the likes of which Gin never saw.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Lara had picked up Ayn, but nearly dropped the poor girl at the site of Legion. "Jesus, he's stil here?!"
__ Legion falls to the ground with his eyes wide, shocked that his celestial form was found and changed to a physical one. He snarls at Gin, recognizing him to be the one who foiled his scheme. "How the hell did you do that, old man?" |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
He doesn't answer the creatures questions. "Who are you?! What are you doing here?" His cane had levitated, and moved to a table nearby. Gin kept his eyes intently on the creature.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Legion snarls again, obviously displeased. "I don't have to answer to you!" Legion's claws glow green as he gathers energy.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin frowned, obviously not happy with the answer. He had not gotten in any type of stance, or charged up for an attack. He simply mutters an incantation, and the creatures body levitates. Gin moved his arm, and in whatever direction he did, the creature did. He thrust his arm to the left, sending Legion slamming into a wall. While Gin did this, he was also muttering another incantation. A large hand rose up out of the ground, slamming its fist into the creature.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Riki had left the room before Gin had arrived, hungry and seeking solitude. She found her way to the kitchen and was disappointedly staring at the empty refrigerator when she heard a loud crash from above. "Can't they ever stay out of a fight?" Slamming the door shut, she races back upstairs and slides into the room. "Who the hell..." She shakes the rest of the question off. By now, she's getting used to sudden apperances. Riki draws her sword, which seems uneccasary but hell, why not. She stares at the fighting unfolding before her, Ayn's tear stained face, and remembers her friends-her only friends-that had died so recently. "No more...I'm sick of this all. I'm leaving. I'm going to find Hayate, wherever he went. I'm leaving...I have to learn more about my past as Rikali. Find my daughter, or her body. I don't have time for this." With that finishing thought, Riki sheathes Vengeance and turns around, walking calmly out of the room and castle.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud watches as Gin easily has his way with Legion. Cloud stands, sheathing his sword and crossing his arms. He leans on the wall and watches Ayn and Lara go up the steps, making usre nothing unexpected would happen to the two. He had decided to keep his nose out of Abbisian business, as it wasn't healthy. He had learned that from Megiddo. Still, he had his questions and accusations. But now wasn't the time for that. He takes an orb from out of his left sleeve and allows it to hover above his gloved finger. The green sphere then disappates and Legion grows quiet, even while being thrashed about. Cloud mutters: 'Silence..' just before the disappation of the orb. He sighs happily and closes his eys. He was used to these situations.

Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
The eyes of the enraged demon flare, and he charges at Gin, his demon claws glowing.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gins stands there, not flinching at the sight of Legion running towards him. He stood his ground, bracing himself for an attack.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Legion slashes at Gin with his claws, leaving streaks of red in the air.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
He raises his arm up to block the attack with incredible agility for someone so old. Then he waves his free hand over Legion's face, an invisible arrow made of magic hits Legion between the eyes. Gin moves out of the way, as a flurry of invisible arrows fly through the air towards Legion. They hit him, and he's sent flying back into a bookcase. With another wave of Gin's hand, an invisible force binds Legion down to the ground. "That should take care of him."
((Sorry Gale, wanted to speed things up.)) |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud snickers, laughing at how easily Legion was taken care of. He began talking to himself to where you could faintly hear. "Heh.. I guess the Abbis aren't as dead as I thought. An old man just beat down an Archdemon." He looks at the elder Abbis, giving him a strangely disrespectful look and pops the knuckles on his right hand boredly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin looks over at the human, him being the only other one in the library. He surveys him before speaking. "I take it you were involved in this giant dispute, so you can tell me who that is over there." He points to Legion.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"He..." Cloud unsheathes his sword again and lets the tip of the blade rest on the ground. He leans on it casually and looks to Legion. "One of Rand's little puppets... He stole something of mine." Cloud twirls the blade and rests it on his shoulder and walks over to the bound and silenced demon and looks him over before smiling.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
His ears perk up as he hears Rand. "I see. So he works for Rand." Gin did not say anything to Cloud's moving in on Legion. "What is your name?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"My name? My name is Cloud. Cloud Strife." Cloud, looking disgusted, steps away from Legion and lays the cracked buster sword on the library table. He glances back up to Gin and quickly looks away. The man resembled Gale slightly. He didn't want to remember his fallen friend and didn't want the reality to set into his mind.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Cloud Strife. Hmm, tell me Cloud, were you friends with Gale? Or what part did you take in this war?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I was Gale's partner in a mercenary business we once ran. He was my best friend and a number of times we had nearly killed each other, both in this 'war' and in previous battles. I never though either one of us would die... but he did." Cloud's voice breaks a bit and he tries to regain composure. "But even though I considered him a brother, I fought against him. He wasn't the same Gale I loved as a close friend and brother.. He killed me in our final fight, but Rand brought me back to life with a parasite known as a doomsday and I nearly killed Lara until I saw Rand stab Ayn. My body regained control and I drove Rand away. I should have killed him." Cloud sighs and his robotic arm twitches a bit.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I see. . . So you rescued Ayn from this Rand person. Thank you, for that." Gin nods. "What else is there to know about this fellow?" Gin holds his hand out, palm open, and his cane flies to it.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"He wants to destroy the universe and make his own for himself and his creations." The wrods come out casually, almost teasingly "I don't mean to pry, but whats all this with Ayn? And why did you wait to come now? Right after all this **** came down on all of us, especially her. Don't you even care about her feelings?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin's eyes turn to slits, his patience getting tested. "Do not talk to me as if you are a Saint yourself, Mr. Strife. It is none of my business what a man does with his life, but you worked as a Mercenary with Gale. Did you care about the family your victims might have had? No, you just cared about the reward you would be getting afterward. It is none of your business why I came here late, I admit I regret waiting so long. But you have no right jumping in as if you know what you're talking about."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud takes a step back and reaches for his buster sword, his instinct taking advantage of him. He quickly takes his hand off of the hilt and looks at Gin, knowing he could have just been killed easily by an Abbis of such power. "I suppose you're right, I may be a murderous monster that dosent care for nothing but a reward. And I've already gotten my reward out of fighting in Megiddo..." Cloud looks away and shakes his head. "I just really care about Ayn, and I don't want any more harm to come to her, okay?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"You care for Ayn. . . ? As a father does? Or how, Mr. Strife?" He already knew the answer in his head, but he wanted confirmation. He stood there waiting.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud's eyes shoot up to Gin's, and he tenses up. "Lets say I care for her more than I should, apparently. I know that to you she is just a child but to us here she is a fully grown woman, and it used to be hard to understand why she acted so meek sometimes, but now that I know it dosen't change my feelings about her." Cloud's gaze shifts to the books on the shelf, his feet, anywhere but the eye's Gin. The man's aura gave him a very strange feeling he hadn't had in a very long time.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin's facial expression remains the same, he does not look shocked, nor disappointed. "I only just met Ayn, I cannot act like a true father and deny her a man. Your feelings for her are strong. You've established trust by telling me what you think of her. But what else can I do, I cannot encourage you, nor can I discourage you."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud feels open to him, and hates the feeling. He looks up at him and feels saddened by the situation. "I'm sorry for trying to speak to you that way, but you know why now..." Cloud looks at his blade and runs his palm over the break in the swords center. The painful memory of his scream for help haunts him but he shakes it off, it didn't matter. Not anymore.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin also eyes the crack in your sword. "Let me have a look at." Gin takes the sword from Cloud and examines it for a second before he lets it go, the sword floating in the air. He positions it so that the blade is pointing down. Gin then recites an incantation, the sword turns into a blinding white light. When the light fades away, the sword remains there. Gin pulls it to himself, and places it in Cloud's hands.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud hapilly takes it and twirls it, tossing it in the air and catchign it by the hilt. Being a show off for no reason. "At least now it's acceptable as a gift to a dead friend or two.." Cloud begins to walk to the courtyard, half expecting Gin to follow.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin does follow Cloud. They make it to the Courtyard, Gin stands watching what Cloud will do next.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
((Half asser! :P))
Cloud looks upon the graves and particualarly Gale's and One's. He goes to Gale's grave and look's at Sin. The sword that he'd clashed with time and time again. He flipped the sword so he was holding it backwards and stabs it behind sin, the big sword looming over sin like a vulture. Cloud steps back, ignoring the rain that was still falling. He begins speaking quietly, as if talking to Gale directly. "I'm sorry Gale..." |
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin was near the entrance of the courtyard, watching Cloud pay his respects to the dead. Gin then begins to speak in rapid Abbissian. What he was doing was putting a spell on this graveyard, so it's protected. He then walks up next to Cloud.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Legion had used the absence of Gin as an oppertunity to retreat. It wouldn't work, now with him there. Besides, Rand had to know this. In a flash of red energy, the Arcdemon disappears from the castle.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin looks down at the swords. "Sin can never be reactivated. It's impossible without the hand of an Onarav. Not even I could take it and use it." He looks over at One's grave. "Did anybody retrieve Shay's Staff?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud breaks his gaze from the grave and looks to One's. He then remembers his battle with Gale. "Yes. I attacked Gale after One had died and he retreated, taking One and half of the staff with him."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Gin looks away for a second, thoughtful. He sensed something leave the castle. "The demon got away. He escaped."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Cloud smirksa "He's nothing to worry about besides stalking Ayn and being perverted, I'd say. Then again he did take something from me. I can live without it though..." Cloud looks up and closes his eyes and chuckles. "He won't harm Ayn. He just wanted someone to play with today I suppose. Even after I blew him in half. He is one of Rand's puppets. Nothing to worry about."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Lara walks into the courtyard, having putting Ayn in one of the castles beds. She watches Cloud and Gin wordlessly.
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"I'm not afraid of the demon, nor am I worried. I had no intention of killing him, and I knew the binds would wear off. Basically, I let him go." He turns to see Lara walk in. "Hello, Lara. Is Ayn in bed now?"
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
Lara nods. "Yeah, she's exhausted. She said before she's afraid of having nightmares, though."
|
Re: Gale's Castle (Part 2)
"Nightmares or not, she needs to rest." The rain had started to come down harder now. "Let's get inside."
